Institute History

Tangail Polytechnic Institute was established in 1991 under the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Bangladesh. The institute started its journey with a vision to provide quality technical education to the youth of Tangail and surrounding regions.

Over the years, TPI has grown exponentially — from a few initial departments to offering 7 diploma engineering programs. The institute has produced thousands of skilled engineers who are serving in various public and private sectors in Bangladesh and abroad.
